imm is an experimental and emotive music artist based in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Since around 2015, imm has been creating music using guitars, field recordings, and software synthesizers, drawing inspiration from video games and manga experienced over the years. imm's journey in music has led to self-produced albums and contributions to compilations from various Japanese labels. In 2018, imm released an album through Chicago-based label lillernetapes.
The tracks "Transitory Bliss" and "Synthetic Prophecy" were inspired by imm's profound experience with the video game "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture," released by The Chinese Room in 2015. imm recommends giving the game a try for its inspirational narrative and emotional depth.
